New! DoublClik Transformations

If anyone knows me well, or has followed DoublClik as a brand for the past year, they will tell you that retouching is my favorite part. It is simply the icing on the cake. (The really creamy soft delicious beautiful icing that I deem necessary on all my....cakes....) So, on the ol' fan page I decided to start displaying some of my favorite transformations. Although I reserve the rights to all of my images, showing "before"s can be a touchy subject for any client. I got the green light from everyone I wanted to feature, and before I knew it, a DoublClik Transformations gallery was in the works!

And my latest: where I started with a true blank canvas and played with digital make-up amongst other things for 2 beautifully meticulous hours.

EDITOR'S NOTE: DoublClik retouching starts at $30/picture. If you are interested, email me at andreahernandez87@gmail.com and I will have you looking magazine-ready in no time!

A Photographer's Dream

I did not even know this was possible. It's called a cinemagraph. And as amazing as they are alone, let's have Judy take us even further from reality.

A cinemagraph starts with film, then parts of it is chopped into .gifs like a looping stop-frame animation, while the remainder is left as a still. I found a tutorial and I have to try it out. The possibility of bringing  that much life to a picture takes my breath away.

EDITOR'S NOTE: This is only a peek into the beautiful world captured by NYC photographer, Jamie Beck. See more of her jaw dropping cinemagraphs here

What's New...'stagram...

Instagram is a household name. So are the following entities: Webstagram, Stichtagram, Searchstagram, Postagram, Printstagram, Casetagram...and then there's TinyTile (newly named ImageSnap)...which is just slightly ridiculous and cute. Bottom line: Instagram is a movement, and apparently in order to be a part of the in-crowd you have to incorporate...stagram into your product line...my blog title is no exception.

Here's what I've been cookin' up lately on my Andriod-based Samsung Galaxy!

So there's a handful of online sites that let you view you and your friends' shots wherever you are. Statigram was a pleasant surprise today. I signed in with my Instagram username, saw a grid of what I've recently posted, the norm...then I see a new email from them within seconds. They sent me an Instagram birth certificate, and other fun facts. It was adorable and invasive. I loved it:

EDITOR'S NOTE:I don't know what is more funny to me, the "My most liked photos EVER!" with a record of 9 hearts? Or that number above with a "th" to top it off.
